23rd of January to the 22nd of February. That was the gap between Aberdeen scoring their 31st and 32nd goal of the season in the league.
–Aberdeen Finally Win! Reaction To 1-0 Victory Over Kilmarnock
From Andy Considine’s finish against Motherwell to Callum Hendry’s header against Killie 574 minutes of football passed – over 9 hours of pitch time – six games.
During that time a lot happened including Livi’s 14 game unbeaten run coming to an end with loss at home to St Johnstone, Hibs rediscovering their form to take back control of third spot, and Considine making his 430th appearance for Aberdeen – the Banchory born defender now third in the all time list behind Messrs Miller and McLeish.
We’re not popping the champagne open in the office just yet for Aberdeen after being made to wait over four weeks to see the Dons win.
The work starts now to try reverse the damage set by an appalling run that saw Aberdeen pick up just two wins in eleven coupled to five defeats and four draws.
With the league split just round the corner and games between the top six to come thick and fast there’s plenty of time for Hibs to drop points.
Third has been chopping and changing between the Aberdeen and Edinburgh outfits all season and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see this continue.
Who’d be a Dons supporter, eh?

Bayern lose 7th Bundesliga game in 56
–Result: Bayern Munich Lose First In Seven Falling 2-1 To Eintracht Frankfurt
–Bayern And Arminia Bielefeld Play Out A 3-3 Thriller In Bundesliga: Match Report
It’s a rare occasion to see Bayern Munich step off a football pitch as the losing side.
Over the last year and a half the Bayern haters have had to wait every eight games to see Bayern lose – how many haters there actually are for a club that produce such scintillating attacking football could be raised into question.
The Club World Championships, which Bayern were obliged to play the week before, seems to have taken something out the team and brought the curtain down on an era.
By lifting the Club World Championship Cup in Qatar, Bayern’s treble winners finally completed their historic 2019/20 season, winning their sixth trophy.
Since returning from the Middle East the Reds have drawn, to relegation strugglers Arminia Bielefeld, and lost to in-form Frankfurt.
Hansi’s ship could be beginning to creak, decimated by injuries. One thing that doesn’t change though is Robert Lewandowski finding the back of the net.
The Pole scored his 26th of the campaign on Saturday – off 19 matches. As said previously, there can’t be many haters to that?
Other sports – Usual suspect wins in Melbourne contrasted with 750/1 outsider winning in Wales
Novak Djokovic won his ninth Australian Open title beating 4th seed Daniil Medvedev in straight sets in Melbourne Park on Sunday.
Djokovic is now two behind both Federer and Nadal in the almost sycophantic GOAT race that is men’s tennis (20, 20, 18).
In a far more interesting and heart warming story, at 11pm on Sunday night rank outsider Jordan Brown beat Ronnie O’Sullivan in a brilliant final frame decider at the Welsh Open.

Brown is used to working awkward hours having only five years ago given up his job at a petrol station, shifts starting at 5:30am, to take up snooker full-time.
The emotion strings were well and truly plucked as Brown – 750/1 at the start of the tournament – held his nerve to beat the greatest the game has ever seen in the final frame of a best of 17.
And it was a pleasure to see the smile as wide on O’Sullivan’s face as it was Brown’s at the outcome of the match.
Even though he lost, by showing true graciousness in defeat O’Sullivan affirmed himself as a GOAT of British sport.
